NTPC’s Vindhyachal plant to up its capacity to 4,760 mw

India’s largest power generation plant, the NTPC-run 3,760 mw Vindhyachal project in Madhya Pradesh completed 25 years of operations on November 1. ADB to lend $826 mln to India for power transmission

For improving power transmission systems in India, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) last March offered $826 million loans. The money will be used to build transmission systems that will help transfer electricity from surplus regions to power-deficit regions efficiently.
