To appoint a strategic partner for developing the proposed Navi Mumbai international airport at Mumbai suburbs, Panvel, the Maharashtra government's City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) will soon go ahead with its global tendering of request for qualification (RFQ).
The Cidco's decision comes after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh okayed the compensation package offered to the land losing project affected persons (PAPs) and most of them accepted it.
For the four-phase development of the Rs 15,000 crore airport project, appointment of a strategic partner would be for the first phase with an investment of around Rs 5,000 crore.
