The rail consulting firm Balaji Railroad Systems Ltd (BARSYL) had entered into an agreement with the Odisha government in August 2014 to prepare DPR for the MRTS project. BARSYL has submitted the inception report on the Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) for the Greater Bhubaneswar region. The MRTS would connected Khurda with Choudwar in Cuttack district. The detailed project report will take 10 months from the agreement signing date.
