To connect the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant to the power grid, specialists are fine-tuning the systems of the power plant, a joint Indian-Russian project in Tamil Nadu. Power production at the plant is expected to start in November, say media reports.
The work at the plant is consistent with all the requirements and is being monitored by the Indian regulator. All the elements of the power plant are being checked.
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India states on its website that commercial operation of the first 1,000 mw unit will begin in this October.
