Through its flagship Exhilway Global Opportunities Fund LP (EGO), US-based Exhilway Private Equity is planning to invest $1 billion in India.
From investors based in the US, Canada and UK, the fund is planning to raise over $2 billion. The hybrid fund would provide investors a minimum debt return and also an opportunity to make money over the equity pledged by the promoters of the investee companies.
With a targeted annual return of 20 per cent per annum followed by 8 per cent per annum on the investment, the fund has finalised close to 50 companies for its investment.
