Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) proposes to invest Rs 25,000 crorein natural gas exploration & production, transmission and distribution projects.
This includes Rs 13,704 crore in two gas transmission projects. The company is said to have achieved financial closure for majority of its projects.
According to the company, development projects worth Rs 10,000 crore are at various stages in DeenDayal Block of Krishna Godavri Basin.
GSPC is working on other E&P and development projects and necessary tie ups are in place to finance all these projects, company sources said. GSPC's gas distribution arm will commission 50 CNG stations by 2012 end.
Country's second largest gas transmission company GSPL operates 2,000 km of gas grid in Gujarat. Many governments want to replicate the same model in their respective states on proposed gas grid.
GSPL and partners will bring in Rs 4,108 crore of equity for 4,000 km long bidirectional gas transmission pipeline that will traverse through eight states to transmit 90 mmscmd of natural gas.
