At its recent annual general meeting (AGM), the Goa state urban development agency (GSUDA) cleared three new projects.
One of the projects is the Rs 10 crore beautification project under which beautification of Mapusa will be taken up from the entry point of Mapusa city upto Khorlim.
The second project is the beautification of the city from Milagres church to municipal building at a cost of 10 crore. The AGM also sanctioned a plan to install floodlights at the indoor football stadium in Paddem, Mapusa.
Meanwhile, at the AGM, the board amended regulations of GSUDA. This enables the agency to undertake projects even in non-urban areas. The AGM also took stock of its many works which are underway.
Meanwhile, the agency plans to complete nine projects in the next few months. These are Cuncolim market, Quepem garden and Ponda market complex at Upper bazaar involving expenditure of Rs 22 crore.
By the next month, GSUDA aims to complete the Mapusa market project of Rs 7.7 crore. Work on the fish market as well as shopping complex is also on the verge of completion.
