In Madhya Pradesh, Indore Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey on August 2 issued instructions to the officers concerned to repair roads within a week. In a meeting with officers of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and State Highway at his office, Dubey said people are facing huge inconvenience on the roads. He issued strict instructions to repair roads including Lebad-Ghata Billod road, Indore-Pithampur Road, Dhar-Manawar Road, Rajgarh-Kukshi Road and Dewas-Indore Road.    

He said that these roads should be repaired within a week to facilitate commuters passing through these roads. Dubey asked the manager of NHAI to repair and maintain the roads of NHAI within time limit. He said penalty should be levied on the contractor and legal action should be taken against them if the contractor fails to repair the roads. Dubey also issued instructions to the officers regarding railway over bridge.
