Jet Airways had total consolidated debt at Rs 9,794 crore as of September end against Rs 10,576 crore posted at the end of March 2014. The company could successfully reduce its debt burden by 7 per cent so far in the current fiscal. The cash infusion by its strategic partner Etihad Airways to the tune of US$ 600 million was used to retire the debt. Etihad Airways had got 24 per cent stake in return.
