To expedite the proposed foothill road in Nagaland Nagaland Foot Hills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) and the State PWD (R&B) on September 13 decided to conduct a joint survey. The survey is to be taken up as per the road map of the committee. The foothill road is proposed from Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung and Mon.
NFHRCC decided to undertake the joint survey of NFHRCC members and PWD (R&B) officers in line with the option 8 (see table), tentatively on September 23 or 24.
It may be noted that the PWD (R&B) had submitted its report to the State government for the construction of the foot hill road giving nine options after conducting a survey (see table). Out of the nine, the department had approved the choice of option 3.
