By next November, the first unit of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project will start generating 500 mw and 1,000 mw by December, Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Natham R Viswanathan stated in the State Assembly on October 29.
The Minister said that the nuclear plant was generating 200 mw of power to start with when it was stopped for inspection recently.
Viswanathan said that the nuclear power project unit had once again started generating power and the plant had been synchronised with the power grid.
