Multistoried buildings changing Bangalore's skyline

With the emergence of high-rises in Bangalore, the city's skyline is changing drastically. The IT capital of the country never had impressive skyline like Mumbai, Singapore or New York. But, with the time passing by, the real estate sector of the city has witnessed many changes and now developers are going vertical.

Mumbai witnessed the maximum high-rises due to lack of space but in spite of land availability in Bangalore, the culture of high-rise has been introduced lately. At the end of the day there is a certain snob value in saying I live on the thirtieth floor or fortieth floor.

The concept is new in Bangalore and developers want to cash in on that lifestyle of staying in high-rises, said Ram Chandnani, Deputy Managing Director, CBRE South Asia, a global real estate consultancy. Some of the attractive high-rises in Bangalore are a 46-storey ‘Mantri DSK Pinnacle,’ five 40-storey tower residential skyscraper ‘Water's Edge,’ Sobha Indraprastha- a 30 storey residential and commercial development are among others.
