Rs 64.16 cr Nabard loan to Haryana road projects

A loan of Rs 64.16 crore to Haryana has been sanctioned by the National Bank for Rural and Agriculture Development (Nabard) Haryana regional office for six rural road projects under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) in 2013-14.    The State government is to utilise the loan sum for widening and strengthening of 37.18 km of rural roads in Kaithal and Jhajjar districts.    With the construction of the planned roads remote villages in the districts will have all-weather road connectivity to marketing centres (krishi mandis), and several educational and public health institutions, among others.
