Global research and consulting firm CBRE has said that logistics and warehousing industry continued to witness growth during the first half of 2013 in India despite weak economic scenario. The demand for logistics and warehousing services is expected to increase on the back of relaxation in the FDI regulation in the retail sector.
India Logistics Market in the first six months of the year continued to see automobile players, FMCG companies and retail majors as the prime occupiers of warehousing space, it said.
The CBRE report said that despite weak economic sentiments, the logistics and warehousing industry continued to witness growth largely due to growth in retail, ecommerce and manufacturing sectors.
