Work on power project in Bihar has started with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The power project, with the Rs 650 crore ADB aid, in seven towns of power-starved Bihar is for upgrading electricity transmission lines to cut down losses.
The project will be completed by June 2016, said sources in the Power Ministry, which facilitated the loan.
The seven towns selected for the scheme are — Biharsharif in Nalanda (the home district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar), Motihari, Bettiah, Ara, Buxar, Samastipur and Begusarai.
