Chennai-based Shriram EPC has won orders worth Rs 389 crore under its water infrastructure business. The company provides integrated design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for power plants, renewable energy projects, process and metallurgical plants and municipal service sector projects.    Shriram EPC's orders include a Rs 164 crore from TWAD Board, Madurai for construction of water treatment plant, infiltration wells, sumps, service reservoirs and pumps room.    The order also involves supply and laying of around 170 km ductile iron pipes and 1,900 km PVC pipes to enable supply and distribution of water to some of the areas in Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Madurai districts in Tamil Nadu. The project is to be completed in 18 months.    The company has won two orders amounting to Rs 86 crore from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. It has also won a Rs 92 crore order from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Rajasthan to do the regional water supply work for villages under Chambal Dholpur Bharatpur project.
