Road repairs to be taken up in Jaipur from mid-September

The damaged roads in Jaipur will be repaired by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) from September 15. JDA is to take up a total length of 2,500 km roads for repair in the city. While the JDA will repair 1,000 km length of roads by itself, repairs on the remaining 1,500 km will be given away to contractors.

To take up the repairs, the JDA has identified 124 important roads for its phase-I work.

For the repair works to be given to contractors, it will be on a three-year contract. Work order of Rs 500 crore has already been issued to the contractors. JDA officials said that after recent rainfall, city roads have turned into dirt tracks causing huge risk to the commuters.
