Alstom T&D on October 9 stated in Vadodara that it plans to secure a major share in the Indian market. Alstom is a major company in power transmission solutions. The company has bagged two contracts worth Rs 225 crore from the Power Grid Corporation of India for setting up transformers.
After successfully flagging off transformers from its manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Vadodara, Alstom T&D India'a president and Managing Director Rathin Basu said that the company will increase its investment in the coming years to meet increasing demand in India.
Basu stated that the company withstands well the competition from Chinese and Korean companies in this sector as it has set standards of quality and proficiency.
