For development of five new satellite townships in Himachal Pradesh, the State government has decided to attract foreign direct investment (FDI). The five new satellite towns have been proposed by the State at Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Hamirpur and Dharamshala on public private partnership (PPP) mode.    While presiding over the 30th meeting of board of directors of HIMUDA in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma said that HIMUDA would establish a housing colony at Sheel in Solan district under PPP mode for which 32,132.10 sqm land has already been acquired.    The Minister said that another residential housing colony would also be established at Trilokpur in Sirmour district under the self financing scheme. It includes construction of 72 flats for category-I, 56 flats for cat-II, 48 flats for cat.-III and 80 flats for cat-IV with parking facility, the Minister said.    The Minister said that integrated residential township at Mandhala Phase-II (Sansiwala) in Solan district would also be developed. He said that HIMUDA has acquired 30,745.32 sqm land at Sansiwala in which 13 industrial plots of different sizes have been proposed.
