Chennai's Kotturpuram roads in a dilapidated condition

In Chennai, Kotturpuram of ward number 172 is suffering from civic woes, claim civic activists of the area. At a time when several wards have been re-laid with new roads, residents of the ward say that even patchwork is not done regularly in Kotturpuram. Even proper patchwork for the roads in the area has not been done, deplore the area residents.

Several times sewer overflows are not checked. The area residents hope metro water officials will look into the matter. Even major roads in the wards are not maintained properly, say the residents. Ponni Amman Koil Road, Pondicherry, Canal Bank and Murugappan Road are in a pathetic state.
