Inter-American Development Bank in its new study Climatescope 2014 suggests that renewable technologies can be cost-competitive not only in richer nations but even in the emerging parts of the world. As per this report China ranks top while India ranks fourth among 55 developing nations in clean energy investment. India received US$ 6bn bn in clean energy investment in 2013, out of a total of US$ 62bn from 2006 to 2013.
