In Kerala, solar power lighting companies like PTL Solar are eager to cash in on the power shortage scenario.
Various companies are entering the State with a host of solar-powered lighting products. The latest entrant is the UAE-based PTL Solar with its imported products that include solar batteries, PV modules, inverters, street and landscape lightings and so on.
Prabissh Thomas, Managing Director, PTL Solar, told the media in Kochi that Kerala is facing numerous challenges in the energy sector.
The State has enormous renewable energy potential and exploitable hydro power capacity, he added. PTL Solar, which has set up an office in Aluva, has plans to open 50 PTL Solar Mart outlets this year aimed at making solar power lighting products available and affordable for all consumer levels under one roof.
