MMRDA approves two metro corridor project for Mumbai

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority under the chairmanship of Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has approved the construction of two metro corridors – Dahisar-Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd (DCBM) costing Rs 25,605 crore and Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kasarvadavali (WGTK) metro corridor costing Rs 19,097 crore. Around 50 per cent of the project funding will be sought from multilateral funding agencies. Centre and State Government/MMRDA are likely to contribute 20 per cent and 30 per cent of the funds by way of equity and debt.
