No digging of repaired roads in Allahabad: Commissioner

Allahabad Divisional Commissioner Divesh Chaturvedi has warned that a road once repaired would not be dug up by any other department. If it is found that any department is involved in digging of the road that has been already repaired, then FIR would be lodged against the department.

The divisional commissioner was presiding over a review meeting on Kumbh preparations recently. Chaturvedi said repeated digging of roads has badly hit the traffic system.

He said that no interference would be tolerated in civic amenities work and no laxity would be tolerated in wasteful expenditure of public money.
