In Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district, around Rs 12.55 crore has been sanctioned during the last three months for various development works, including road construction and drinking water in the district, said the The District In-charge Minister RV Deshpande.
The grant was released to assist people in flood-hit regions to repair their boats, roads and construct a sea wall to prevent erosion and provide drinking water in rural areas.
Deshpande said that after the monsoon, road repair works, including the re-carpeting of the roads, will be taken up in the district.
