Agency reports suggest that Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT) would accept bids for the operation and maintenance of the two berths - 2 and 8 - at Haldia Docks till December 17.
The port is said to have extended the last data for submission of bids from December 3 decided earlier.
The port is looking for another contractor for cargo handling at these two berths after the earlier contractor Haldia Bulk Terminals (HBT) exited the contract.
The port has reportedly extended the last date for bidding after prospective bidders sought clarification on certain aspects of the contract.
