The Outer Ring Road (ORR) project for Mysore is expected to be completed in eight months time if the work goes well as per the plan of Mysore Urban Development Authority (Muda). The proposed ORR is expected to address the traffic problem on the Narasimharaja Boulevard and prevent heavy vehicles from entering the city. The project is pending since a decade due to land acquisition problems.
Road users in the area of the city were inconvenienced because of the unfinished stretch of the ORR.
Heavy vehicles entering the city were responsible for many accidents over the years. Now that the legal hurdles are cleared, the city residents are now hopeful officials will complete the project within the deadline.
