Bidders' names for JNPT terminal to be out soon

By this month end, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) will announce the names of bidders qualified for the fourth box terminal. The bidding process was still on and the winning bid would be announced by mid-January.    From mid-November, the qualifying bidders will be then given a price bidding form while JNPT will seek security clearance for these companies from the Union Ministry of Shipping.    And, for constructing the Rs 1,800-crore liquid terminal at JNPT, five companies, including Adani Ports and United Liner Agencies (ULA) have shown interest. The liquid terminal, which will handle 15.5 million tonne per annum and is likely to be built in two phases, will take about five to eight years to be constructed.
