NHAI told to file FIR against e'way operator

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been directed by the Union Road Transport Ministry to lodge a criminal complaint against Delhi-Gurgaon road operator DSC company for siphoning off toll money.    Through a forensic audit by independent agency, KPMG, the Ministry found a 'huge difference' in manual traffic count by KPMG and the traffic report submitted by the concessionaire DSC for the same period.    The ministry said that the difference was leading to huge misappropriation of the order of Rs 15.58 lakh per day. Hence the Ministry has asked NHAI to file an FIR against DSC.
