The total energy generation during the period April 2013-August 2013 has been 399.00 billion units which was 104.32 per cent of the actual generation during the same period last year. The generation during April 2012- August 2012 as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 104.91 per cent.
During the period April 2013-Aug 2013, hydro generation has been 111.10 per cent, nuclear generation has been 99.51 per cent and thermal generation has been 96.93 per cent over the same period last year.
This has been stated by the Union government in the monthly energy report for the month of August, 2013.
