According to media reports, global banking major Goldman Sachs has discussed its expansion plan in India in its recent board meeting held in Mumbai and Delhi.
This is the first time it is conducting board meeting in India and it follows its earlier meetings at Brazil, China and Russia.
It is learnt that corporate honchos likeLN Mittal, Cyrus Mistry were invited as guests at the meet. The three-day closed-door board meeting started was held at the Taj Mahal, Mumbai. The board meeting in the morning was accompanied by an elaborate lunch meet with corporates across India Inc attending the function. Cyrus Mistry, KV Kamath, Shikha Sharma, Adi Godrej and many other attended it.
KV Kamath said the meeting was largely focused across issues, largely around the macroeconomic environment.
Adi Godrej also said that the meeting was good. The issues were centered around India and US and the kind of issues faced currently. LN Mittal too was spotted there. He said that the meeting was good, but refrained from any further comments.
