Solar-powered generators and solar-based water purifiers were launched by Jakson Power Solutions on September 11. The products are based on the plug-and-play concept. The portable generators, available in the range of 0.5 kw-25 kw, can be started within a short span.  The products' battery back-up can provide power for six hours without sunlight.    

Not only through sun, the battery can also be charged through conventional sources. The company has come out with low-capacity and high-capacity generators. The former, suitable for low electricity demand uses such as for 1-2 kw in offices, shops or homes, are priced between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.    

The 12-25 kw range second type products can be used in off-grid locations such as defence applications, telecom, remote locations, rural electrification, disaster management and oil and gas projects.    

These high-range products cost between Rs 30 lakh-Rs 50 lakh.
