The largest solar power plant in the world is going to be set up by the Indian government in its Rajasthan state. The government-owned companies are taking partnership in the 4,000 mw plant.
BHEL, Powergrid Corporation, Solar Energy Corporation of India, Hindustan Salts, and Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited are the five government-owned companies which are going to set up the solar power project in a joint venture.
The first phase of the project will comprise of 1,000 mw and is expected to be commissioned in 2016.
