Cabinet approves Rs 5,200 crore North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project

The Cabinet has recently approved Rs 5,200 crore North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project (NERPSlP) for Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland. The project aims to strengthen the intra state transmission and distribution system. The scheme will be taken up under a new Central sector planned scheme of Power Ministry.
