The Planning Commission intends to sort out the issues impeding the implementation of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) programme of the government. The Commission wants to immediately revive the investment cycle in this troubled times, the country is facing.
Chairman of the Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia is expected to meet secretaries of infrastructure ministries including power, railways, road transport and highways, shipping, urban development and aviation and discuss the on ground situation.
The Commission will chalk out steps to boost investor confidence. Ahluwalia said that the Commission has prepared a detailed Cabinet note regarding the PPP projects and the issues impeding their progress. The note has also been circulated among the ministries concerned for their suggestion.
