Hubli airport gets cargo service

After a long wait, Hubli airport has now got the cargo service facility. Traders and the general public can easily export various commodities. After much discussion and studying the feasibility, the Airports Authority of India has recently given its approval for the cargo service.
The airport has flight service to Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. Now the air cargo facility has been added in the airport and courier companies-Blue Dart and DTDC have been permitted to handle the cargo services.
As per the response, the airport will give permission to more courier companies to handle the cargo service, said the airport officers. Now, people are using this service to import and export mobiles, electronic products, printed materials, hospital equipment, medicines and documents.
The airport officials said that interested can export or import perishable goods like flowers, vegetables and fruits through the airport.
