For the Beypore port, the Kerala government has sanctioned Rs 12 crore to procure a container handling crane of 40 tonne capacity, the State Minister for Ports K Babu has said.
He added that the procurement had been under the coastal shipping project.
The Minister said that cargo shipment facilities would be introduced at the Azheekal, Kollam, and Vizhinjam ports in due course.
