To set up 60 solar power streetlights in Ariyalur of Tamil Nadu, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd will partner with Ariyalur district administration.
An official press release said that the company has paid Rs 6.84 lakh, about one-third of the project cost of Rs 20.52 lakh. The lights will be set up between the Ariyalur mines and Dalmiapuram.
The scheme is part of the Tamil Nadu government’s self-sufficiency scheme for rural areas.
