Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Jawed Usmani on November 12 stated that he has asked authorities of the Urban Development Department to ensure that various projects under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) are completed by the end of current financial year.
Chairing a review meeting, Usmani said there were still many projects on which the work needs to be paced up, for example, sewerage work (part-1), water supply, solid waste management (SWM) in Agra; water supply (part-1 and 2), SWM in Allahabad; sewerage, water supply (Part- 1 and 2) in Kanpur and water supply (part-1 and 2).
Usmani said various departments need to establish coordination and issues pertaining to land acquisition be taken up at the administration level.
