To ease traffic on Sampige Road in Bangalore, a new approach road connecting Sampige Road with Swatantrapalya (MD Block) will be built. The city Mayor BS Satyanarayana and the State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao inspected the proposed road near Mantri Mall on November 8.
The Mayor and the Minister said Mantri Developers has agreed to build the road and discussions will be held with the firm to speed up the work.
Since a portion of the proposed road touches the Railway land too, Rao suggested the Palike officials to get in touch with the Railway authorities to provide some piece of land to widen the road for the smooth traffic flow.
Satyanarayana said a meeting with the Metro Rail officials, BBMP and the Railway officials would be convened for the speedy implementation of the projects.
