Court forces illegal colonisers to go for regularisatin

Colonisers indulging in carving out unauthorised colonies are getting badly affected and are now demanding regularisation of colonies that have already been developed. The development follows orders from Punjab and Haryana high court for strictness against illegal colonies.

The high court through its order on July 20 had made the official machinery to get tough against unauthorized colonies. After this strictness, colonizers have been meeting officials and politicians to demand that colonies which have already been developed should be regularized.

Till now faces behind unauthorised colonies had been managing to cock-a-snook at law by operating through benami deals by getting sale deeds registered through their employees and some times even migrants, who get petty salaries and hold power of attorney.

According to sources, this modus operandi was adopted to escape the noose of law as whenever PUDA or some municipal body initiated action against the real colonisers were nowhere in the records.

Property Dealers Welfare Association, Jalandhar president Amrik Bagri said that the Association is demanding that colonies already developed should be regularised and no new illegal colonies should be allowed to come up.
