Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) may ask the state Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to inaugurate the housing projects taken up under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
Reddy is expected to visit the city later this month for his people-contact programme “Indiramma bata”. The municipal corporation is planning to include the inauguration of houses during the period.
The corporation would make arrangements for the Chief Minister’s meeting. As part of the preparations, Municipal Commissioner B Ramanjaneyulu and Visakhapatnam North MLA Tyanala Vijay Kumar visited the six blocks comprising 96 houses at Rajendranagar in Ward 13.
They wanted all amenities to be provided and the inauguration to be carried out in a festive atmosphere.
