Rain Cements Ltd (RCL) is having plans to set up a 22 MW solar power plant in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is estimated that the project would cost Rs 140 crore. RCL had qualified in the bid evaluation process initiated by Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd of Andhra Pradesh & Eastern Power Distribution Company Ltd. Land is already acquired. The power purchase agreement (PPA) will be executed once the detailed site verification and technical evaluation is done.
