Afcons, Ircon JV wins Rs 453 cr rail bridge order in B'desh

For constructing a railway bridge with approach lines in Bangladesh, Afcons Infrastructure, along with its joint venture partner Ircon, a public sector unit of the Ministry of Railways, has bagged Rs 453 crore contract.    Afcons Infrastructure, Shapoorji Pallonji Group company, in a joint venture with Indian Railways PSU Ircon has signed a contract agreement with Bangladesh government for constructing a railway bridge with approach rail lines, Afcons said.    The project involves doubling of Dhaka-Chittagong railway corridor which is considered to be the backbone of Bangladesh railway infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed in 30 months, it said.
