Airports Authority Of India is considering plans to construct an airport at Hollongi in Papum Pare district. The technical committee of AAI had stated earlier that the airport site at Hollongi has scope for higher usability in poor weather conditions.

Gujarat Government identifies 11 airstrips for airport development to boost tourism

The Government of Gujarat in order to boost tourism has identified 11 airstrips, including Ambaji, Palitana, Ankleshwar, Dwarka, Mandvi, Morbi, Rajkot, Parsoli, Rajpipla, Dholavira and Dahej, for the purpose of setting up the airport.
