Several civic projects like roads, bridges, hospitals, degree colleges, and government offices in Kanpur were reviewed by Divisional Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Gupta at a meeting.

The review meeting was attended by district magistrates of Kanpur city, Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, joint development commissioner and Executive engineers of various construction agencies.

The Mahesh Kumar Gupta reviewed projects of more than Rs 1 crore in each district.The officers told him that as many as 85 projects in Etawah, 31 in Auriyya, 59 in Kannauj, 37 in Kanpur city, 34 in Kanpur Dehat and seven in Farrukhabad, besides roads and bridge projects worth Rs 1 crore or more were either about to finish or incomplete.

They told Gupta that 90 percent work of upgradation and strengthening of Dufferin Hospital had been completed. In Ursula hospital, 50 percent work of upgradation and strengthening had been achieved. Barrack at Anwarganj police station would be ready by December 2013.

By August 2013, officials expect to complete construction of Sikathiapurwa PHC. PHC and TB Clinic at Deodhi Ghat had been constructed. At Chobeypur, Bheetargaon and Patara, 80 to 95 percent construction work of primary health centres had been completed, officials informed at the review meeting.
