The state-level environment impact assessment authority (EIAA) cleared the first phase of the Smart City Kochi project on the recommendation of the state-level expert appraisal committee (EAC).
Following the approval, SmartCity, which would develop the project, decided to begin the construction work on the first site. The firm also applied for building permit, which is expected soon.
SmartCity would work on site clearance, demolitions, soil excavation, relocation of trees and setting out the building.
