To attract an investment of Rs 1,000 crore, the West Bengal government has on September 3 offered 278.5 acres of land to 10 companies, including those from both of private and public sectors, said the State Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee.
Damodar Valley Corporation at Raghunanathpur in Purulia (for water pipeline to thermal plant), Jayshree Tea (for fertiliser plant) and HPCL (for LPG bottling at Panagarh industrial park) are among the companies who have got the State offered land.
In the state's South Dinajpur, Coochbehar, West Midnapore, Purulia and South 24 Parganas, the
West Bengal Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation will create five industrial parks on 100 to 300 acres of land, Chatterjee said.
