Ujaas Energy would set up solar power generation equipment on educational institutions, IT Parks and big industrial roofs.
The company would set up the equipments as part of a Rs 13.35 crore contract it bagged from union government for setting up a 1.75 mw roof top solar panel installation at four cities.
In this regard, the firm would install the equipments in Hyderabad (250 KW), Bhubaneswar (500 KW), Jaipur (500 KW) and Noida or Greater Noida (500 KW) within 6 months.
The contract was awarded by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a division of ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE).
For over 30 years, Ujaas Energy has been involved in manufacturing of distribution transformers, power transformers, furnace transformers and special purpose transformers.
In March 2012, Ujaas Energy started installing a solar power plant under renewable energy certificate (REC) mechanism.
