Terminal at Dabolim airport to be used for aircraft parking

In Goa's capital Panaji, the existing airport terminal would be demolished and used for the aircraft parking bay, after the commissioning of new integrated airport terminal at Dabolim international airport. Airport Authority of India (AAI), Goa director M Suresh in a letter to the State Pollution Control board said that it is intimated that as per the ultimate master plan prepared by AAI corporate head quarters, the existing terminal is to be demolished for converting this area into aircraft parking bays after commissioning of the new terminal.

The Dabolim airport is a defence airport and even operations are under the control of Indian Navy. AAI is only managing the civil enclave, Suresh.
